Does the BYD Atto 3 have factory wireless charging?
On some higher trims, yes - a Qi pad on the centre console. Entry EV trims skip it, but every trim has USB-C PD from the factory.
Is an adhesive dash mount safe on this dashboard?
The EV has a minimalist dashboard with fewer physical controls, so adhesive-mount pads have larger clear zones than an ICE dash but sit on smoother, curved plastic that some adhesives struggle to bond to over UK summer heat cycles. Adhesive pads work best on flat, low-sheen textured plastic; the BYD Atto 3’s upper dash is typically curved and covered in a soft-touch skin, so a strong 3M VHB pad plus a heat-cure period in the sun is the honest route.
Where does a phone mount not block the driver’s view?
Below the head-up display line if the BYD Atto 3 carries one, and above the centre-stack physical vents. A vent-clip mount on the leftmost driver-side vent is usually the best compromise for a quick glance.
One thing many buyers miss
MagSafe (or Qi) mounts on a car with factory Qi charging are essentially redundant unless the factory pad is awkwardly placed. If the BYD Atto 3 has factory Qi on the centre console, a simple vent clip or holder that just holds the phone is often more useful than a charging mount.
