Frequently asked questions

What material makes sense for a working Ranger?

Canvas is the traditional pick for working pick-ups: rugged, stain-resistant and colour-fast. Heavy-duty canvas covers rated for pick-up use survive tools, oil and site debris where leatherette scars. Neoprene works too but pet fur is harder to remove from its woven texture.

Are the Raptor seats compatible with universal covers?

Barely. The Raptor uses uniquely-shaped sports buckets with pronounced side bolsters and integrated headrests. Universal covers physically sit but do not fit cleanly; Raptor-specific covers exist but choice is limited.

Do 2022-onwards T6.2 covers fit the older PX3 Ranger?

No. The T6.2 platform (2022-onwards) uses new seat frames with different post spacing and outer bolster geometry. Any listing must call out “2022-onwards Ranger” or “P703”.

Are front-seat side airbags standard across the trim range?

Yes. Every UK Ranger trim (XL, XLT, Limited, Wildtrak, Wildtrak X, Platinum, Raptor, MS-RT) has front-seat side-impact airbags. Airbag-compatible cover seams are required.

One thing many buyers miss

The Ranger’s rear bench in Double Cab is a fixed 5-seat bench with under-seat storage. Some heavy-duty cover sets include a storage-compartment access flap; universal covers block the underseat storage entirely, which is a real day-to-day loss on a working truck.

How to check before ordering

  • Confirm body: Double Cab is the UK standard, Single/Super Cab are fleet-only.
  • Choose material for use case - canvas for site use, neoprene for family use, leatherette for occasional.
  • Airbag-compatible seams non-negotiable.
