How to pick wiper blades: bracket vs beam vs winter
Wiper blades are a wearing part that never quite gets the attention they deserve until the first heavy rain of the year reveals a chattering, streaking mess across the driver's field of view. The choice between conventional bracket, beam and winter blades is not marketing; the three constructions behave very differently on modern curved windscreens and in freezing conditions. Conventional bracket blades
A conventional or "framed" wiper blade is the design most people picture: a metal or plastic frame with two, four, six or eight claws holding a flexible rubber refill.
