Five things to know before you buy floor mats for the Volkswagen T-Roc

  1. 4Motion cabin mats match front-drive mats. The 4Motion loses ~50 L of boot volume to the rear differential but the passenger footwells are identical. Front and rear mats are shared.

  2. T-Roc Cabriolet needs its own mats. The Cabriolet is a 4-seat body with a different rear footwell shape and a much smaller boot (284 L vs 445 L). Buy Cabriolet-specific mats, not hatchback ones.

  3. First-generation T-Roc mats will keep fitting through 2025. The all-new second-generation T-Roc arrives late 2025 for MY26 with a new floor pan - current mats will not fit the new car when it lands.

  4. Trim variance is cosmetic. R-Line, Style and Black Edition share the same footwell as Life.

  5. The retention pattern is MQB A1 not MQB Evo. T-Roc pre-dates the Golf Mk8 platform; do not order “MQB compatible” mats blind.

Do T-Roc and Tiguan mats interchange?

No. The Tiguan is a larger footprint on a different platform generation. Same design language, different footwells.

Are 2022-onwards facelifted T-Roc mats different from earlier?
