Five things to know before you buy phone mounts for the Tesla Model Y

  1. Screen-bezel mounts are the popular choice. With no traditional centre vents to clip to and a minimalist dashboard, aftermarket Model Y-specific mounts that clamp onto the 15-inch touchscreen bezel are the default. Brands like JOWUA and Spigen make Y-specific versions.

  2. The Juniper refresh kept the same screen and dashboard proportions. Pre-Juniper (2020-2024) and Juniper (2025-onwards) mounts are largely interchangeable, though verify bezel compatibility on very tight-tolerance clips.

  3. Vent-clip mounts do not work. The Model Y uses the same full-width vent slot as the Model 3 - no slats for standard clips to grip.
