Frequently asked questions

Do RAV4 hybrid and PHEV dashboards differ for mount fit?

No. Both share the same dashboard, vent layout and screen configuration.

Are RAV4 vent slats horizontal or vertical?

Horizontal on the centre vents. Vent clips must be horizontal-slat-compatible.

Does the freestanding tablet-style screen affect mount placement?

Yes. The infotainment screen sits proud of the dashboard rather than integrated flush. Adhesive mounts placed on top of the dash sit AHEAD of the screen and can appear in the driver’s forward sight line. Mount below or to the left of the screen instead.

Does the RAV4 have factory wireless charging?

Yes on Excel and above; Icon and Design do not have it as standard.

One thing many buyers miss

The RAV4’s freestanding screen sits at a natural eye-level. If your car has factory wireless charging, a Qi-coil vent-clip mount lets you keep the screen unobstructed while the phone charges and provides secondary display (e.g. Waze) without competing with the built-in Toyota nav.

How to check before ordering

  • Confirm your car is fifth-generation XA50 (2019-onwards).
  • Vent clips must be horizontal-slat-compatible.
  • Excel and above have factory Qi charging.
